Ottawa’s Halloween Dog Parade

October 19 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Please join us on Saturday October 19th, 11am-1pm, for a howling good time at Ottawa’s Halloween Dog Parade at Dovercourt Recreation Centre (411 Dovercourt Ave.). Dogs and dog lovers from all over the National Capital region will be celebrating Halloween by dressing up their doggos (and perhaps themselves) for an afternoon of fun, food and Fido. There will be prizes for best costumed dogs, celebrity judges, silent auction, food and drinks, bouncy castle, doggy photo booth, vendors, and, of course, the Parade of Dogs. This is a rain or shine event.

The Dog Parade is a fundraiser for Dovercourt ‘s Work and Volunteer Experience (W.A.V.E.) program for adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. W.A.V.E.’s objective is to raise awareness and opportunities for adults with autism through work placements and participation in the community.

The fee is $10 to participate in the parade, which can be paid onsite. The event is free, though donations are encouraged and appreciated. Donations can be made at Dovercourt, by phone (613-798-8950), and online at Canada Helps (see the link in the Tickets section).
