Kanata Santa Claus Parade

When is the parade?
Saturday, November 16th
8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. – parade staging
10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – parade
What Part 1:
The annual Hazeldean Mall Kanata Santa Claus Parade presented by the Kanata-Hazeldean Lions Club is the official arrival of Santa Claus at Hazeldean Mall – Santa will be receiving visitors immediately following the parade.
What Part 2:
The annual parade brings the entire community together with their neighbours as they participate in, and/or view, the parade as a major local fundraiser for the Kanata Food Cupboard.
Who is collecting food and cash?
Ottawa Firefighters collect cash donations and Kanata Hockey Teams will be collecting non-perishable food donations.
Where Part 1:
The parade stages along Terry Fox Drive starting at 8:30 a.m. – this means that Terry Fox will be closed to non-parade vehicles (see link to route map below)
The parade begins at the corner of Terry Fox and Castlefrank at 10 a.m. sharp.
It then goes up Castlefrank and turns right onto Abbeyhill Road.
Everyone then goes onto Abbeyhill Road up to the back entrance into Hazeldean Mall’s parking lot.
The parade then follows the parking lot road from Laura’s Your Independent Grocer, going passed Entrance 2 and then is completed at Hazeldean Mall Entrance 1.
Where Part 2 – Road closures
For the safety of all participants access to these roads will be closed – access to the Hazeldean Mall Parking lot will be limited (arrive early to view the parade from our covered walkways).
Where Part 3 – Viewing
View the parade from anywhere along the route – popular spots include the corner of Abbeyhill & Castefrank, AY Jackson High School and between Laura’s & Entrance #1 at Hazeldean Mall.
