Here we go again with another New Years Eve party list!! The pressure is on to find the most fun thing to do to kick off 2020. I’ve put together a collection of all the best parties throughout Ottawa for you to get a sense of what there is to offer for all tastes! I will continuously update this list as I find (or am told about) new events, so keep it bookmarked!! I’ve tried to organize this by area of the city so hopefully that is a bit helpful? These details are only partial, you’ll have to click into the events to get full details.

I personally will be attending the Ottawa New Years Eve Charity Ball being held at the Ottawa Conference and Events Centre. This annual charity event looks incredible, and I’ve wanted to go for years!! There are still tickets left!

Hogman-eh! A New Year’s Celebration – Scottish Style

  • It’s coming!! We’re excited to present our 8th Annual Hogman-eh!, the biggest celebration of the OttScot Festival! It’s also the biggest Hogmanay event outside of Scotland! We have an amazing lineup of performers this year, including The Next Generation Leahy, The Mudmen, Clan Daestyn and East Coast Experience, along with performances by the Ottawa Caledonian Pipes and Drums and the Ottawa Highland Dance Association. There will be kids activities, music and performers, food, merchandise, and more throughout the course of the evening and, of course, lots of New Year’s revelry. At 7:00 p.m., revelers will celebrate midnight in Scotland with a huge balloon drop, followed by brilliant music from local and visiting bands as well as Pipes Bands and Dancers. Scottish food will be available at the Market Place and beer, wine, and whisky at Milestones Bar in the Aberdeen Pavilion. End the night and toast 2020 at midnight by gathering in fellowship to sing Auld Lang Syne, then head outdoors for a fabulous fireworks display over the Great Lawn.
