Halloween Events in Ottawa: What’s there to do for people of all ages?

As Halloween approaches, once again this year, I’ve compiled a full list of all the parties and activities that I can find and put them into one place! The list this year is much longer than last year’s list so hopefully I’ve found something for you to enjoy!! There are events for kids/families as well as night club parties! As per usual, this is not all inclusive, it’s only what I’ve been able to find in my searches so if you are hosting an event and would like it added, fire me the information and I’ll be happy to do so! That being said, keep this list handy as I’ll be updating it right up until the 31st!

Strange noises, flickering lights, and vanished items soon followed. Then, one by one, staff began disappearing, leaving behind an abandoned exhibition and the telltale signs of a frenzied struggle. This Halloween season, Billings Estate National Historic Site presents a chilling new interactive haunted experience. Are you brave enough to explore the museum at Park Hill after dark? Join the museum team in place of the mysteriously missing staff and prepare to confront the horrors head on – bring an end to the curse or risk the same uncertain fate as those who’ve tread these halls before you. Choose your path wisely – who knows what frights await around the next corner? Note: Curse at Park Hill is an English-language presentation. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from October 17 to November 2; Ages 15 + (this experience is designed for adult audiences); Cost: $17.50 + tax per person (non-resident fees may apply). Tickets will be available for 5 timeslots each evening: 6 PM; 7 PM; 8 PM; 9 PM; 10 PM. Each timeslot accommodates a maximum of 16 guests. You will enter the experience as a member of one of 4 intern teams – each of which has a specific goal that will guide your exploration of the seemingly abandoned museum, but proceed with caution, not everything is as it seems. The experience will take approximately 40 minutes to complete. Guests should anticipate spending 1 to 1.5 hours on site. Plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance of your timeslot. The experience will begin promptly at the scheduled time. There will be no further admittance once the experience has begun.

  • Local residents and rival farmers have long suspected that something unnatural has been happening out at the Proulx Farm in Orleans, with reports of blood-curdling screams, a foul stench, unexplained power outages, and inexplicably lush & large crops. No proof of foul-play has ever been found… Until now. A cell phone found on the banks of Cardinal Creek not far from the Proulx Farm has revealed some disturbing images and videos. Authorities are urging the public to report ANYTHING UNUSUAL they see at the Proulx Farm, and to use extreme caution when in the Cumberland Area.

    1. I’m sorry you feel that way, I see many events there for adults. There are plenty of family events too. It’s a pretty great mix really. I’m quite happy with the events and look forward to a fun week! I’m proud to live in Ottawa. We’ve grown up into a real city!
