Weekly Newsletter: Ottawa Events, July 16th – 22nd

Bluesfest has come and gone, and what a success it was with an estimated 300,000 in attendance this year! Don’t fret though, there are still plenty of festivals in store for the festival lover in you!! On the music side, the Music and Beyond Festival continues until Wednesday, the Kemptville Live Music festival runs Thursday through Sunday and features acts such as: Trooper, The Beach Boys, Jann Arden, Kim Mitchell, The Cooper Brothers, and Loverboy. Next up is Ottawa’s newest Music Festival, Rebel Fest with a ton of local bands headlined by Big Sugar! This takes place at TD Place Saturday/Sunday this week. The Lebanese Festival runs from Thursday to Sunday and the Ukrainian Festival is Friday to Sunday. Finally, Boochfest is on Sunday at the Horticulture Building.

Live entertainment continues throughout the city in addition to the festivals. Kevin Hart is on Friday night at the CTC, and on Friday and Saturday, you can find Aaron Pritchett and Madeline Merlo at the Parking Lot Party hosted by Crazy Horse in Kanata. Finally, Yuk Yuk’s is proud to have back Tom Green on Friday and Saturday for multiple shows.

For the sports lover, the Ottawa Champions play every day this week!! Also, at TD Place, the Redblacks tackle the BC Lions Friday and the Fury play Saturday night.

Top three events of the week (well four this week):
