This week, we’re continuing with festival season in Ottawa. As the Live 88.5 voice says “If you don’t like the current festival, just wait a few minutes until the next one”…or something like that. Well, this week is a great example.  Tulip Festival continues in various locations running daily until the 21st of May. The  Children’s festival continues Monday and Tuesday of this week at Lebreton Flats, and on the weekend, the Sheep Shearing Festival starts up for two days at the Canadian Agriculture and Food Museum.

The boys of summer are back!! Friday night is opening night for the Ottawa Champions as they play a three game home stand against the Trois-Rivieres Aigles. Saturday is fireworks night, and Sunday is Family Day at the Ball Park.

This week at The Gladstone Theatre is the continuation of “Cry-Baby”. I was able to attend this event on opening night, and what an amazing experience!! You can read my review on my site by clicking here! Starting Friday and running for the weekend is Harry’s Musical World at Centrepointe Theatres. I’ll also be attending this curious event on Friday night. I’m not the biggest Harry Potter fan, but it looks really interesting, and I’m excited to do a review on it!

  • Monster Making (Wednesday, Wallack’s Art Supplies)
  • National Caesar Day (Saturday, various locations)
  • Harry’s Musical World (Friday – Sunday, Centrepointe Theatres)
