As spring gets closer, more and more music festivals are releasing their line-ups. Today we hear from Ottawa Jazz! This eleven day music festival takes place right downtown at Marion Dewar Plaza and Confederation Park from Thursday June 21st – Sunday July 1st. The location has changed a little bit with the main stage at Marion Dewar in front of City Hall. It’s such a different atmosphere than other festivals as it has a more quaint, and comfortable feel to it as it’s located right in amongst the trees in the park. I’ve noticed in past years too that the regular attendees of this festival take great care of the grounds and offer a much more respectful setting. This festival truly is about the music, and the people who go there know and love it!!
Headliners for 2018 include:
Herbie Hancock, Alison Krauss, Boz Scaggs, Chris Botti, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Tanya Tagaq, Django Bates Beloved, and many, many more!
