Week at a Glance: Ottawa Events Oct 2nd – 8th

October is in full force now with Thanksgiving weekend coming up! The small-town fairs are finished now, and all the Halloween candy is in the stores; fall is officially here. But with fall, comes hockey….and the Sens and 67’s are taking to the ice to start their regular seasons this week. Also, there’s a new Ottawa2017 exhibit starting up Friday called “Miwate, An Illumination of Chaudiere Falls”. This looks amazing, and I’ll be there prior to opening day to check it out and let you know what it’s all about. I’m excited to be going there so stay tuned for my review before it opens to the public on Friday! Another event brought to us by the Ottawa2017 campaign is the “Ottawa Welcomes the World” series that has China finishing off the week with three days of festivities. This, along with 613-Flea, on Saturday in the TD place buildings make for a fun day in a great venue!

If you’re hosting an event in the future, I now offer advertising on my site…please check out the “Promote your Event” link on the main menu for details. Also, now started, you’ll find a new feature on the website highlighting the hidden gems of Ottawa called “Hidden Ottawa”. It’s going to be populated slowly over time, with only one entry as of today, but more to come, I promise!

The following information is a brief summary only, and you can get full details by clicking the event link taking you to the full event calendar.
