Week at a Glance: Ottawa Events Sept. 11 – Sept. 17th

My recommendation last week was to take a week off and go camping. Well, we’re back at it in the Capital with lots going on again. This week we say goodbye to two long running events with Kontinuum closing its doors after Thursday, and Saturday being the last night to catch the Northern Lights on Parliament Hill, so don’t miss out on those! The highlight of this week is of course Cityfolk Festival running for five days this year as opposed to its usual 4 days, and what a great line up!! I haven’t posted the Cityfolk Marvest full line up on this post as it’s too huge! We’ve also got several festivals including Ribfest in Orleans, Grape fest (wine and food) on Preston Street, and a Beer Festival by our friends at the Brewery Market as part of the Tastes of Wellington West program. It’s a great week to be living in Ottawa!!

Also…it’s my birthday week!! Happy Birthday to me!! haha

If you’re hosting an event in the future, I now offer advertising on my site…please check out the “Promote your Event” link on the main menu for details. Also coming soon, you’ll find a new feature on the website highlighting the hidden gems of Ottawa called “Hidden Ottawa” which will go live this week and grow as time passes.

The following information is a brief summary only, and you can get full details by clicking the event link taking you to the full event calendar.
