As a recent inductee to the gluten-free diet “club”, I have learned of the Canadian Celiac Association and I think it’s a great resource for people who either suffer from Celiac Disease or a gluten intolerance/sensitivity.
The Ottawa Chapter (http://www.ottawaceliac.ca/ ) is hosting a gluten-free pizza lunch and event with vendors and expert speakers on the topic. I highly encourage anyone afflicted with this disease/sensitivity to attend. The only cost is that you have to spend a couple minutes and register in advance.
The event very popular and features a gastroenterologist and a naturopathic doctor to present topics on celiac disease, gluten sensitivity, and the gluten-free diet. There will also be gluten-free vendors providing delicious samples for your enjoyment.
Date: Saturday, February 25th, 2017 starting at 11:30. Pizza served at noon, and speakers start their presentations at 1:00pm.
Location: Riverside United Church, 3191 Riverside Drive
Registration: June Williams: email@example.com or 613-692-3308
Pizza is free, but you MUST register in advance.
